Valerie Anne Bertinelli is an American writer and actress. This two-time Golden Globe Award-winning actor became well-known through her appearances as Barbara on the show on CBS called One Day at a Time and Melanie Moretti on Hot in Cleveland. She started acting as young teens and later on over the years, became an experienced character actor. When she was a young girl, her friendship when she met the daughter of a TV producer ignited a lifetime love of the industry. Bertinelli then decided to pursue acting as an occupation. Bertinelli began her career in the TV industry in her teens after she graduated from the Tami Lynn School of Artists. Within a short time, her confidence and excellent acting skills helped Bertinelli to carve out a place herself as known as a well-known TV star. Personally, her rocky past was well-known along with her battles with addiction and other issues. But she worked hard to overcome her challenges and to reclaim her living. Her name is known to the general public thanks to her New York Times best-selling books where she narrates her challenges during tough times in her life. Today, this multi-talented celebrity is engaged in hosting her cooking show Kids Baking Championship. The chubby teen turned sex icon is also associated as a spokesperson for her Jenny Craig program.
