Azita Ghanizada

Azita is a native of Kabul, Afghanistan. She is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. She is the middle daughter from two siblings, and raised within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her on-air camera career being featured in numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada received the award in recognition of her role in Chiara, who played the central character in Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. A few of her TV roles are How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. She most recently played as a character supporting in Blood Shot (2009). She also appeared as an independent comedian on You Only Better 2009. In 2008, Ghanizada became part of the cast for the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital called Night Shift Ghanizada was the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor. In 2009 Ghanizada appeared as Kelly a Prada saleswoman in HBO's Entourage as well as joining in the cast of the tv series pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan and the executive producer T Bone Burnett. Her fame was due to her portrayal of the teenage Peyton Sawyer in One Tree Hill'.
